Girls’ Fund Launch

On November 22, 2006, Canadian Women’s Foundation (CWF) launched the Girls’ Fund in the presence of Her Royal Highness The Princess Edward, Countess of Wessex, at Verity Women’s Club in Toronto. Dr. Claire Crooks, psychologist, spoke at the launch, along with Mary Aitken, Founder and Managing Director of Verity Women’s Club, and Margot Franssen, Co-President of CWF.

The Girls’ Fund is the Foundation’s CWF’s newest granting program, and is dedicated to helping girls aged nine through 13, move successfully through adolescence and into adulthood.
