Saint John Community Loan Fund, Enterprising Women

2009-2014: $300,000 over five years
Enterprising Women helps low-income women to start an individual or collective business and provides intensive support and training on the many phases of small business development: understanding and establishing readiness for entrepreneurship; venture selection via trend and market analysis; business plan development; pre-launch support (securing financing, location, suppliers and marketing); and long-term support (one-on-one coaching and workshops).

Saint John Community Loan Fund will also match $3 for every $1 a woman saves to help participants build equity towards their business.

Approximately 100 women will be trained through this program over the next five years.
